Indian Navy Recruitment 2021: Online applications are invited from unmarried male candidates who fulfill the conditions regarding the nationality as laid down by the Government of India for musician sailors in the Oct 2021 batch for a total of 33 vacancies, approximately 300 candidates will be called for Music screening test.
Only one online application form is to be submitted by a candidate. Candidates who submit more than one application for the same entry or apply for more than one examination centre will be disqualified. the candidates can apply ONLINE ONLY on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 02 Aug 21 to 06 Aug 21.
The Indian Navy Vacancy Key Informations:
The Indian Navy is inviting online applications from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors as matric recruit Musician 02/2021 batch. Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Music Screening Board and subject to clearing PFT at Kunjali and Enrolment Medicals examination at Chilka.
The initial engagement is subjected to successful completion of training. The initial engagement is for 15 years. Sailors are liable to be discharged as UNSUITABLE due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during the training. The training for the course will commence in October 2021, with 15 weeks Basic Training at INS Chilka in Odisha. Thereafter the trainees are sent to Mumbai for 26 weeks specialised training in Military Music.
It is mandatory to submit a negative RT-PCR laboratory report of COVID-19 from Govt/ ICMR accredited laboratory by candidates at the time of written examination (Report should be dated maximum 96 hours prior to reporting date).
A merit list will be prepared from all the candidates who qualify in Music Screening Board in all respects and PFT depending upon vacancies. All select list candidates will have to undergo Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka, Odisha. All candidates appearing for Music Screening Board at INS Kunjali, Mumbai are required to handover their Police Verification Form.
The Music selection will be tentatively conducted in September/October 2021.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have passed Matriculation Examination from the Boards of School Education recognised by Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
- The candidate should have proficiency in Aural Aptitude for music with accuracy in Tempo, Pitch and singing one complete song. Should also have actual practical skill on any instrument of Indian or foreign origin with proficiency in tuning of instrument, matching unknown notes with instrument, prepared piece, sight reading of Indian Classical/ Tabulature/ Staff Notation, performance of Scale/ Raaga/ Taala and basic theory of Indian or International music.
- Candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music on Wind Instruments will require a musical experience certificate from any recognized musical Institute or organization of repute.
- A certificate of minimum Initial Grade from International Boards such as Trinity College of Music, London or Royal School of Music, London will be mandatory for candidates performing western notation or western music on Wind Instruments.
- Other candidates will be required to submit certificates of participation/ awards presented at various events.
- The candidates would be required to perform with expertise on one or more instruments such as Keyboard/ String/ Wind instruments or any other instrument of Indian or Foreign origin.

Salary:
- During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix (₹ 21,700- ₹69,100). In addition, they will be paid MSP @ ₹ 5200/- per month plus DA.
