The CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai is hiring professionals for recruitment in the posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant in 7 vacant positions through a recruitment notice with Advt No: 03/2021 dated 12/07/2021.
CSIR provides excellent opportunities to deserving candidates for career advancement under Administrative Services (Recruitment & Promotion) Rules, 2020. The incumbent is required to provide assistance in the functions of General Administration / Stores & Purchase or accounts and finance besides any other official work as and when assigned by Competent Authority.
The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of taking over charge of the post. The number of vacancies indicated against each post/category is provisional and may increase or decrease at the time of selection.
Recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of result of Competitive Written Examination and proficiency in computer typing speed and in using computer. The proficiency in computer typing speed and in using computer will only be qualifying in nature, and the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the Competitive Written Examination, who have qualified the proficiency test in computer typing.
They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down for various posts as on the closing date of submission of the online applications.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have passed 10+2/XII or its equivalent and Proficiency in computer type speed and in using computer from any recognized institutions depending upon each post.
- Proven working knowledge of computers preferably MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point etc will be preferred.
